carried over from one game to the next. Troops that route off table count as
lost. Other MSSA competition rules apply.
Standard
MSSA rules apply for both Draughts and Morabaraba.

16 & 17 FEBRUARY 2008
The 17th
Old Edwardian Summer Championships was held at the Old Edwardian
Society, 11 Ninth Avenue, Lower Houghton, Johannesburg on 16
& 17 February 2008.
Marc Marais umpired.
The Ancients period was dominated by Colin Webster who obtained a perfect score in the championships. Colin is the oldest competitive player in the country and is still able to dominate the field and is currently the top ranked player in South Africa. Having first represented South African 1991, Colin has maintained his standard over the years to such an extent that he won every Ancient’s championship that he played in 2007. It seems as though Colin intends to keep his record!
The Pike & Shot period was dominated by fellow Old Edwardian, Matthew Strachan. Matthew’s record in competitive gaming is very impressive in that Matthew won all but three (out of six) of the championships in which he played in 2007.
The final
top three positions were:
